Andy Fox
Andy Fox cut his teeth on the Boston
music scene, playing in a number of bands while
attending Berklee College of Music. Andy's music goes
well beyond music that's simply nice to listen to.
There's craft that builds its foundation. There's a
story that's weaving through the chord changes. It
actually speaks to you without a voice, just a melody
that is somehow unique yet accessible.

Andy McKee
Andy McKee is the most innovative and exciting
fingerstyle guitarist to emerge in years. Still in his 20's,
Andy has developed a mastery of the 6-string guitar and the harp
guitar that leaves me speechless. He is the most textural player
of the instrument since Michael Hedges, and he creates sonic
architecture worthy of the great modern composers for any
instrument .

having recorded a comedy album as well. “its something I

Orlando Volpe
The compositions of Orlando Volpe's first album express a
great musical sensibility and refinement. Graduated in
musicology with the thesis "Bach through the transcriptions of the 8-900"
(1992). He considers his pieces "viaggi da fermo" (mind's voyages),
songs of words not said that they brood sense to the search of a shape
similar to the lived one, finding substance between the fingers and the
strings.

Luis Salinas
Argentinean self-taught guitarist Luis Salinas started
playing at a young age, mostly influenced by his family and local musicians.
Soon he teamed up with Adolfo Abalos, Horacio Salgan, Jaime Torres, and
Maria Graña and had the opportunity to participate in their recordings.
After signing up to GRP, the contemporary jazz performer debuted with
Salinas in 1996, followed by Solo Guitarra, which included a version of
Stevie Wonder's "You Are the Sunshine of My Life." Salinas returned in 2001
with Rosario. He now has Luis Salinas y Amigos en Espana, a beautiful
selection of compositions published in 2005 and currently nominated for a
Grammy for Best Instrumental Album in which Luis welcomes some of his
friends to play along with him, among them: Tomatito and Jordi Bonell on
guitars, Horacio Fumero on Bass, Perico Sambeat on Sax, Jose Reinoso &
Repique on the piano, Oscar Giunta, drums and Antonio Serrano on the
harmonica. They are all top musicians and altogether a great listening
experience.
The album "Muchas Cosas" is dedicated to all the
musicians who Salinas has shared music with in the last twenty years of
his career and especially to those with whom he has does this
marvellous project . Muchas Cosas is the winner of Premio Gardel "Best
Instrumental Album".

Pino Forastiere
The total
lack of whatsoever prejudice towards most musical genres, and
the virtuosity which best expresses itself in the form of a
notation which is strictly ‘allergic’ to any kind of
improvisation, are two features to which the unique style of
Forastiere’s guitar art owes a great deal. Through
technical devices such as tapping, muting, hammer on off, the
percussive use of the guitar’s wooden parts, and most of all the
invention of open and alternate tunings, Forastiere in his
notation and musical execution has developed a complexity that
augments the instrument’s sound levels.

Sergio
Altamura
Sergio Altamura’s first solo acoustic guitar
record “Blu” was released in Italy. Recorded at Imaginary
Road Studios of William Ackerman (eminent guitar player and
founder of the historical Windham Hill Records), “Blu” is a 12
tracks album, all composed by Sergio Altamura except for “The
Name Of The Rose”, which was written and recorded together with
Ackerman himself, who duets with Altamura in another track of
the record, “Before The Sea”. Ideal prosecution of a timbre and
sound research already present in the previous projects of the
Ark Ensemble quartet, “Blu” explores with a contemporary
sensibility the possibilities of instrumental music for acoustic
guitar, whose solo voice is each time alternated or doubled with
loops, percussions, vocals and other guitars. In this album
Sergio Altamura performs on a 12-string guitar, a tenor and a
baritone, along with the electronic loops, voice and percussions.
