Off Ensemble was formed by Marco Testoni and Marco De Angelis in 1998, in collaboration with various artists and jazz musicians such as : Mike Applebaum (Gil Evans, Natalie Cole, Zucchero) , Alex Gwis (Ben Sidran, Enrico Rava, Aires Tango),  Guido Benigni (Lucilla Galeazzi group).
The music is basically a mix of Nu Jazz, Ethno, World Music and traditional Mediterranean music combined with  Jungle and Drum 'n' Bass.
These different influences are brought together by amalgamating electronic and instrumental music. 
The result, enriched by lyrics drawn from poetry or inspired by the visual arts, is a compelling and unusual sound: a wide-ranging union of musical styles and artistic experience. 
Marco Testoni (keyboards, percussions), Marco De Angelis (guitars), Alessandro Gwis (piano), Mike Applebaum (trumpet, flugehorn), Guido Benigni (vocal, mandolin), Mario Corsini (oboe), Anna Crudo (vocal). All music composed and arranged by Marco Testoni & Marco De Angelis .

inspired by the Parisian "quarti่re" with its rich ethnic and cultural mix of North African, European and oriental people.

a "digital" ballad with lyrics inspired by the poems of Emily Dickinson.

Japanese lights. A Shinkansen bullet-train ride through music.

4. Cinque - 5.27 
a strong 5/8 rhythm changing into ethnic "jungle" where the sounds of Indian music fuse with the spirit of the Mediterranean and the influence of Jazz.

5. Cravan - 3.40
dedicated to Artur Cravan, the boxer-poet. A sensual mix of fuzz drums, tabla loop, pad and pipe organ.

6. For the Angels' Fun - 5.45
the second vocal track on the CD with the flavour and rhythms of South America.
