Reinhardt – a name that
enjoys a very distinctive sound within the international music
scene. On this album, her debut, Dotschy Reinhardt draws up a
very personal sketch, brave and at the same time intimate.
There’s music all around, the “typical” gipsy swing repertoire,
always closely linked to jazz standards, mixing with influences
from the Great American Songbook and Frank SInatra, the
vocabulary of people like Joe Zawinul and Alan Holdsworth,
mingling with Brazilian sounds by Jobim, Sergio Mendes and Ivan
Lins.

internazionale. Questo primo album della cantante Dotschy
Reinhardt si lascia influenzare sia dal repertorio del tipico
gipsy-swing di Django Reinhardt -
il "patron" della sua grande famiglia - che dai richiami
della grande musica brasiliana e del jazz moderno. Alcuni
brani sono cantati in lingua romanes.
