ARS NOVA
Founded in 1987 the Ars Nova Guitar Quartet (Fabio De Portu, Antonio Di Spirito, Gabriele Migliucci, Stefano Mingo) was one of the first Italian guitar ensemble to establish a regular activity. The Ars Nova performs music and scores of J.S. Bach as: Brandemburg Concerto No.2, Aria from Orchestral Suite No.3, Chorale "Ich Ruf" and "In dulci jubilo", Aria of the Cantata "Ich habe genug" and the Italian concert BWV 971.

L’intensa attività svolta in questi anni
ha consentito al Quartetto Chitarristico Ars Nova di esibirsi,
spesso come unica presenza chitarristica, in molte importanti stagioni
concertistiche italiane e straniere.
Il grande affiatamento tra i suoi componenti e l'assiduo contatto con il
pubblico che ne sono derivati continuano tutt'ora a ispirare il
quartetto nella ricerca e preparazione di programmi che, spaziando dal
Barocco al nostro secolo, dalla canzone d'autore alle colonne sonore,
dalla musica etnica al jazz, risultano sempre ricchi, scorrevoli e di
forte impatto emozionale. Nato nel 1987, il Quartetto Chitarristico Ars
Nova è oggi il quartetto di chitarre italiano che vanta la più lunga e
costante attività stabile. E' composto da Fabio de Portu,
Antonio Di Spirito, Gabriele Migliucci e Stefano Mingo,
tutti diplomati brillantemente al Conservatorio "S. Cecilia" di Roma.
